Our Faculty



Owner/Choreographer 

of Reach For The Stars Dance Studio Ambridge for the past 19 years, and just opened Reach For The Stars Dance Studio Hopewell. With over 34 years of dance teaching experience. Regina began dance at the age of 5 under the instruction of Peggy Ann Thomas for 12 years, continuing with Karen Dacko Dance Company and the Mario Melodio Performing Arts, and Point Park College. Regina has studied with many world-renowned teachers from The Broadway Dance Center, New York and various other dance centers in New York and L.A. Regina has also studied with dance legends Debbi Dee, Frank Hatchet, and Gus Giordano just to name a few. Regina continues her dance education through teacher workshops and master classes thru out the United States. Regina also has 21 years judging experience; she is currently touring as a judge with Intrigue Dance Intensive and Encore Talent Productions. Regina trains competitive as well as recreational dancers at her studio. Regina has been the recipient of numerous choreography awards and her students have achieved great success by earning high score, 1st place and over-all awards at regional and national dance competitions in numerous states. Many of her students have moved on to college majoring in dance, or to a professional career in dance. Regina’s passion is helping her students to develop strong technique, individual style, and stage performance. There’s nothing more enjoyable than sharing the love of dance with all. Regina is a member of Dance Educators of America and Professional Dance Teachers Association. Regina’s greatest reward is watching her dancers not only become the best dancers they can be, but also the best individual they can be.




Instructor/Choreographer

a 2012 graduate of Lincoln Park Performing Arts, where she was a dance major during her four years of high school. Shayla began her dance training at age 3 at her mother’s studio, she studied and trained in ballet, tap, jazz, acrobat, pointe, hip hop, contemporary and lyrical under the instruction of Regina Pringle, Sean Burke, Matt Saffron and Ed Phelan.

Shayla also has taken master classes from many well known master teachers such as the late Gus Giordano, Debbi Dee, Mia Micheals, Tokyo, Travis Wall are just to name a few. At age 5, Shayla began classes at workshops and conventions where she has won many scholarships throughout the years. In 2012, she won the Senior Elite Dancer at West Coast Dance Explosion. Shayla began competing at regional and national dance competitions also at age 5 and has won many top scores and titles. She also won the 2012 titles of National Miss Dance USA, Miss Hype, Miss StarQuest and Miss Revolution. Shayla has also won numerous special awards and is well known for her amazing turns. She has performed in the Nutcracker, Senior Shows, Red Ribbon Pep Rallies, and Martin Luther King shows at Lincoln Park. She has performed in Point Park University's Three10Moment Show. She has been assisting Intrigue Dance Intensive since the age of 15. Recently Shayla has been chosen to train and perform with the Versatile Dance Company under the direction of Mitchel Federan. Shayla travels to New York City every summer since a young age taking classes at the Broadway Dance Center. Shayla is a member of Intrique's faculty and will be traveling with Intrique Dance Intensive and Hype Dance Competitions 2016-2017 Tour. She will also be teaching classes and doing choreography for studios throughout the states, during the past 3 years at RFTS competitions, Shayla won over 35 choreography awards. Shayla is part of the Millenium Pittsburghs's faculty where she teaches classes weekly. Shayla’s love, passion and talent for the art of dance is truly inspiring for all dancers, Shayla is very excited and blessed to be able to share her extensive training and technique with all her students.


Tap Instructor/Choreographer

Matt has been with Reach for the Stars Dance Studio faculty for over 10 years. Matt is from Morgantown, WV and has been dancing since the age of six. He has had extensive training in tap, jazz, and ballet. He won world honors performing in Germany as a member of the 2000 USA Tap Dance Team. Matt has been a featured dancer and dance captain in productions of Guys and Dolls, Will Rogers Follies, Oklahoma, 42nd Street, Mame, Beauty and the Beast, Thoroughly Modern Millie and A Chorus Line. In Montreal, he performed at the Festival International Danse Encore as an original member of Tap'd Out in their premier show. Matt joined the cast of Tap Dogs for their 10th anniversary tour and has since traveled the United States, Mexico and most recently South Africa as part of the cast for the past eight years.  During his off time, Matt teaches and choreographs in the Morgantown, WV, Pittsburgh, PA and upstate NY areas
